The Medical Society of the District of Columbia (MSDC) is seeking a spring semester intern from a DC area college to learn about the nonprofit community and support the Society’s key initiatives. 

Part of the internship will be administrative, in addition to the activities and tasks aligned with the projects listed. The intern will receive $15/hour stipend and will work remotely 10 hours per week for ten weeks between February 2 – May 4, 2026. The deadline to submit applications is December 1, 2025. 

Responsibilities:

The Intern position activities and tasks may include the following: 

• Create a fundraising plan for the Healthy Physician Foundation
• Plan and execute the annual medical student care basket campaign, which includes creating fundraising materials and planning baskets.
• Attend Society events to assist with logistics if available
• Create content for Society’s digital properties

Requirements:

Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited DC area college/university, preferably in a medical or STEM field. The candidate must have the technology to successfully work remotely. Candidates must be able to work independently at times, as well as with MSDC team members to achieve goals. Candidates must be available Monday through Friday to work between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM, with the option to attend after-hours events.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with the medical community
• Experience in past internship or jobs with sales
