The Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking an experienced psychiatrist to join its Office of Healthcare Inspections, the clinical oversight arm of the OIG. OIG’s mission is to conduct independent oversight of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) that combats fraud, waste, and abuse and improves the effectiveness and efficiency of programs and operations that provide for the health and welfare of veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors.
As part of our team, you will evaluate clinical cases and conduct system-wide reviews of VA health care. Your work will provide objective, impartial assessments to the Inspector General, VA leadership, and Congress.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent clinician recently engaged in active clinical practice, with training and experience in psychiatry. A background in quality management or clinical leadership is desirable. A comprehensive federal benefits package is available.
